Another spring, another garden
03/22/2025
The past few years have seen repeated attempts to get some vegetables going, with decidedly mixed results.
The biggest factor has been the amount of time I am able to put into it. The second biggest has been my lack of formal instruction, which chiefly consists of reading the label of the packet.
This year I'm going to give it another go, and for a change I am going to start earlier than usual. This is possibly in large part because the garden infrastructure has now been fully developed. With that considerable labor out of the way, there is an opportunity to finally make some gains this year.
I've also got a lot more tools, and that should help things as well.
Finally, I'm also going to spend some additional money on things like fertilizer and weed control. Weeds were what destroyed last year's garden. This year I hope to forestall that.
I do enjoy getting out and around the yard, especially after being locked indoors for a couple of months. I see a great deal of unrealized potential at Chateau Lloyd and maybe this year, I'll finally free some of it.
